Submitting Family Lineages to the Youngstown Genealogy Website

Submit a Family Lineage!

If your Mahoning Valley family isn't listed on this site, and you have a fair amount of information on it, then we can use your help.  Please send us a register report of what you have on your family. This will be included in the listing, with a link to your email address, similar to the way my email address is linked from this paragraph. This will be beneficial to you, and to our users. You will be surprised at how much information you will pick up along the way! Please keep us updated with a revised file periodically.  This information remains the property of the submitter.

Please do not include information on living individuals in your files.  It is our policy not to include living generations to protect their privacy.  Please watch your last generation to ensure that it does not include living children's names.  Those wishing this information may contact you, and if satisfied with their need for the information, you may provide this to them.  It serves also as an incentive for related people to contact you, so that you may obtain an update to their lineage.

If you would like your family to be listed, please contact me!  There is no charge for this service.  However, if you would like to make a small contribution to help defray server costs, it would be appreciated.  This is absolutely not a requirement and is totally optional!

For assistance on preparing submissions using the following Genealogy Programs, please click on the appropriate button above.

  • PAF 4.x/5.x
  • Brother Keepers
  • FTM V3.4+
  • BK5 for Windows

Once loaded, print the file with your Browser!

If using another genealogy program, select the report option most similar to what you see used here, and save it as .RTF (Rich Text Format) preferably, or ASCII text, zip it, and after notifying me, send it along! Don't forget to include your name when you send the file, and an email or mailing address where you can be reached by people with updates, etc.

Sincerely yours,
