Notes for ONETA ELLA CRUM:
An excellent homemaker. Many of
her recipes have been passed down
to the family. Her mother died
when she was ten years old and she never knew any of her grandparents. A
kind neighbor, Annie Miller, took her under her wing. Many of her recipes
were from the Pennsylvania Dutch. Pickled Beets, Sour Craut Salad, Pork
Chops Sour Craut and Noodle Casserole, home made Bread and Rolls,
and Banana Cream Pie. She was
excellent at Canning. A kind, gentle and sweet woman.

Educated to the sixth grade. A good judge of character, a man of his word,
and respected by his peers.
