Notes for ONETA ELLA CRUM:

An excellent homemaker. Many of her recipes have been passed down

to the family. Her mother died when she was ten years old and she never knew any of her grandparents. A kind neighbor, Annie Miller, took her under her wing. Many of her recipes were from the Pennsylvania Dutch. Pickled Beets, Sour Craut Salad, Pork Chops Sour Craut and Noodle Casserole, home made Bread and Rolls,

and Banana Cream Pie. She was excellent at Canning. A kind, gentle and sweet woman.

Owned and operated local grocery store in Rosemont, Ohio. Owned a

farm in Ellsworth Twp. Was a factory worker in Salem, Ohio. As a child he lived in Cadiz, Toledo, and Alliance. He was a strong man and a hard worker yet a soft and gentle man. Educated to the sixth grade. A good judge of character, a man of his word, and respected by his peers.

Lawrence was the true Markley descendant who was ommitted by Ida B. Totten in the Markley History.
