Marriages

At Brookfield, Trumbull county, on the 20th inst., by Rev. Mr. Wright, Mr. Charles G. Vial to

        Miss Henrietta King, both of Youngstown, Ohio.

January 13th by Rev. William Remsbargh, Mr. William B. McCartney of Youngstown to

        Miss Emily O. Merrill of Austintown.

Note:  Emily is listed in the 1850 census for Austintown with parents Aaron and Electa Merrel (1880/1888), with George, John, and Benson as siblings.  John, Emily, and Benson were born in Ohio; whereas, Aaron, Electa, and George appear to have been born in New York.

 

 

Deaths

BARK ZEBRA, which sailed from New Orleans, 1st instant, for Liberia, put into Savannah on 

        Saturday, with the cholera on board.  The captain and 27 emigrants had died, and many

        of the crew and passengers were sick.

 

Administrator's Sale

Borts, Philip, on the 13th day of Feb. next, at the late residence of Philip Borts,

        deceased, in Youngstown, nine horses, fifty head of cattle, seventy-five sheep, seven hogs, 

        amongst other property, George Borts, Administrator, Youngstown, Jan. 25th, 1853.
