1. JOSEPH1 STROCK was born 1748, and died 1832. He married BETSY BENSINGER 1769 in Berks County, Pa.

Notes for JOSEPH STROCK:

He came to this country in 1757 at age 9 with his mother and her second husband Mr. Sassaman. They lived near Valley Forge in Berks

County now called Schulykill County. They moved to Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pa.

William is listed as an heir to Henry Crum along with all other siblings except Lydia so it is safe to assume he was her husband and she had already died.

Buried in Pricetown Cemetery. Moved to Newton Twp. from Austintown in 1840. Lived on the east bank of the Mahoning River.

3. JOHN HENRY2 STROCK (JOSEPH1) was born November 14, 1781 in Berks County, Pa, and died December 11, 1860 in Tuscarora County, Ohio. He married KATHERINE RICE. She was born November 25, 1780, and died September 25, 1854.

He fought in the War of 1812 and walked all the way to Ohio from Carlisle Pa. to follow his family who left earlier in the year.
